Latin America
Latin America is a key emerging market. We appointed a number of new distributors to improve our presence in this region.

Europe
Recent acquisitions have been targeted primarily at companies in developed markets, providing an opportunity for us to develop our channels globally.

China
Sales to China were helped both by continued industrial expansion and government incentives. The latter was particularly noticeable on civil engineering projects, for example construction materials. Research and development applications also saw increased funding from the government.

Asia
Initiatives to build our presence and distribution channels continue in this key region, with Particle Measuring Systems opening a new technology centre in Japan during the year.
